Joana is a curious and imaginative girl. But one day, she asks herself: “Am I special?” In search of this answer, she begins to observe the world around her and realizes that, even though she is not as tall as a giraffe or as strong as a bear, she has something very valuable: the ability to help and make a difference in the lives of others. With a light and engaging narrative, "I am special?" invites children to discover that each person, in their own way, has a unique shine. A charming book about empathy, self-knowledge and the beauty of small gestures.

"This book was not meant to be a book like any other. It was created from a childhood memory and is made up of thousands of fragments of young Robbie’s little dreams. Dreams are made up of particles of hope. We are led to believe that dreams have to be big and unattainable. But every little dream matters and every little dream is a fragment of a bigger dream. And that is how, over the years, I have managed to put together so many little pieces of little dreams to make this book real." - Robbie
